Sono tornato di recente nella mia Dublino.
E’ stato a dir poco meraviglioso. Molto emozionante!
Così ho scritto qualcosa in onore di ciò che ho vissuto, ed è un qualcosa che dedico, oltre che a me, a tutti i miei compagni di vita in Irlanda!
E’ in inglese, in modo che tutti loro lo possano capire!

St. Stephen’s Green & Grafon Street
(Micaela’s Stop – part 1)
Here I am!
Back from Dublin.
Awake, again.
Altough it’s hard to explain, I’m sure you can understand me, because you have lived with me all those days and all those nights.
Meeting Marco at the Luas stop in St. Stephen’s Green, singing and dancing Don’t stop me now and Everytime we touch in the crazy Messere Maguire, walking drunk through Grafton street are feelings that no tourist can experience.

The very temple of Dublin
Because it’s impossible to know Dublin, just visiting it.
You have to live Dublin, to feel it.
And then you’ll love it!
Guys, it was amazing… I went with Marco to see our place in Charlestone road, we ate a Luigi’s hamburger, we had a Guinness in Temple Bar…

Our place 2
(Home)
But it was melancholy as well… I kept looking around, looking for you. During every single trip on the Luas I had in my mind Micaela and Ezlatan…crossing the Liffey on the Ha’penny bridge made my heart beating so fast… And then, while I was watching Inter match in Frazer’s I was thinking: “Visca Barca i visca Catalunya”…

Half Penny Bridge
Wow… I’ve been overwhelmed by emotions at all times.
In the last three days I’ve had a lot of fun and I woke up being hangover…
And I have to give to my new fellows the credit for that (and of course to my inexhaustible will to drink and get drunk)!

Everytime we touch…

The new Dubliners

Taken by our DJ!
They’ve been such a good shipmates and I guess they felt, even if just for a little time, the Dubliner’s spirit!
And obviously, Marco was the usual great friend…
But I missed Nico. And I missed Cris, Marta, Antonella, Bea, Mathilde, Ramon, Pierre, Roser, Sara, Sergi, Xavi. And Philip, Stefan, Mael and -why not?- the Devil and the Thing…
I missed all of you, guys… deeply!
Besides, I’ve had time for some thinking, some reflection.
Just a week ago, I was asking myself: “Would Dublin keep it up?”…
So I observed the guys like us… they seemed happy, fancy-free…
But it was kind of weird… kind of unfamiliar.
Turk’s Head is now a restaurant (it’s a disco only three nights a week), Czech Inn and Mezz are always empty, no one is used to eat a Whopper at 3.00 am in Graftton…

The 3.00 am Whopper
I tell you, guys: Dublin is a good city, but we were Dublin’s Fair City!
It used to live when we lived it!
Ok, it keeps on raining and our school is still open… It’s always the same cold city that keeps you warm… but I realized one: as we miss Dublin, so Dublin misses us! It’s true!
We are the last kings of Dublin!
And three hours before leaving, I went on the bridge and I dropped in the Liffey a cup, barely bought in Carroll’s. Just as my heart, it will stay in Dublin. Forever and ever!
Now, I don’t think I’ll go back there in the next few years…
Well… I’m gonna go back, only if you will come with me!
Don’t you think a gathering would be great? You do…
And I know… it’s difficult, nevertheless we might try…

(Just to remember….)
Ok, we’ll talk about that!
What else?
Oh! How could I forget?!
I’ve been also into our school, because we had an hanging question…
Do you remember?

Kiss my ass, Petcho and Tom!!!
Things have come to a pretty pass! I’m a thief!
Who cares? Now it’s ours!!! And nobody will ever take us off!!!
I send you a huge hug, my friends!
Keep in touch!
Eddie
